Footprints in the Sand+ {& j" ?( S1 d7 @1 @4 s
+ e( A7 i7 ^# F' M# L! Z4 x
One night I had a dream
  w0 n% l8 ^. @: RI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
) D. d7 |$ b9 rAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.0 F/ I1 F: w- v8 I. K) }! Q9 h
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
6 h  ^- I7 l; m7 g5 U, p; V2 gone belonging to me$ ~4 Q, Y2 f* M: L
and the other to my Lord.0 ?2 J- i. O) j0 Y: g; i+ S
When the last scene of my life shot before me
  V. D5 g: ^1 C; d; VI looked back at the footprints in the sand.! X% ?+ j' x7 v) }& _
There was only on set of footprints.) P1 C" [2 [+ o( v- U( H
I realized that this was at the lowest
7 H; N! h& o* `9 L5 J' Y/ a/ c, Qand saddest times in my life.$ ?3 w  s: \' T; G
This always bothered me : S& _$ M% f7 Y7 I
and I questioned the Lord- R7 I6 U8 R5 m: X8 `" C
about my dilemma.
+ H( y- `$ K$ X# }"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
% k1 Q! j5 x* W# L7 r' d+ b$ m' x" \You would walk and talk with me all the way.( i) }/ o% n  F8 J4 N+ a
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
9 s& O$ }- s! ctimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.7 P) k2 U* N' P
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
3 @- l. h' i& ]; }, Zyou leave me."( i9 y. n2 P" \) y& T$ b
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,. y  l. u, }2 J0 M& e; b
I love you and will never leave you) V4 @* ]8 u4 n! V$ N0 S5 N' R6 s
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.& [8 s9 q7 f+ ^8 v' e' _( B' L
When you saw only one set of footprints
