One night I had a dream
' x# C- G& r6 r1 l' E6 d6 ?- CI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
$ Y+ X( j3 I: r% JAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.% U5 C. F& T0 q; ]/ S
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,3 `6 f" R& F8 ~8 r8 ^1 l
one belonging to me5 x& W% Q. |# s' }3 e8 D
and the other to my Lord.
- u! f! Z% ~5 wWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
3 ~' M' b% |6 \3 }+ C6 N8 RI looked back at the footprints in the sand.7 z1 X! `- _& A
There was only on set of footprints." j- U# M% M% U) Z3 y
I realized that this was at the lowest
" b+ J# I& S# C; |and saddest times in my life./ y0 u  U4 {. k7 [) U- r
This always bothered me
+ v: x4 `8 y/ R% }2 p* h& uand I questioned the Lord. w# h8 b9 e- U4 ^- e
about my dilemma.
/ r- i! D! v( b1 \: W( p. a"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
  }2 T) t1 Z7 @& EYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
4 ?1 x: T9 K4 Q' U. SBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome 1 X( }" u6 t  ^" U/ }: X# z, @
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
5 a1 N0 `+ q( ~$ `! k2 KI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
1 N6 U# K- ]2 o! syou leave me."
3 @7 o; U7 x7 i" l3 g9 m! kHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,2 N0 j2 J$ T$ q# H5 }# m
I love you and will never leave you5 X4 b5 u# C  e& a7 |5 |5 D4 i4 S$ R
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.6 z% c. S5 @5 A& n7 a# z. R
When you saw only one set of footprints
