One night I had a dream
$ |$ n- E- q$ j  l+ ~2 i6 j& E6 l7 LI was walking along the beach with my Lord.$ `) \+ Q% y& w1 S" H
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.9 W9 q- M) ]- O, H# c* W
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,! N0 k- z5 W  B' Y
one belonging to me9 q' r9 _$ I3 `8 l; E! H* H
and the other to my Lord.
: f" @, w7 q: l. ?. }' Z, KWhen the last scene of my life shot before me- g6 _( D. r; e( ~: G4 l; C
I looked back at the footprints in the sand." G7 ?/ o" f& I/ i5 e4 c
There was only on set of footprints.
/ H, V; I: N2 v3 P0 Y9 DI realized that this was at the lowest
6 P5 Y7 m2 W5 s& _8 G' b8 Nand saddest times in my life.
" N2 r6 z& u6 @9 L. JThis always bothered me ' i5 I$ W% x2 R: i4 n2 N
and I questioned the Lord/ P! E. v6 c/ Z
about my dilemma.
/ `, Y% G; {7 f* s0 s$ A8 [1 n3 Z"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
, [. T& R" ^& i, n! DYou would walk and talk with me all the way.2 ?0 {8 X& b) q/ u% C
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome ; ^) v* ^. x" M, Z8 _0 D8 }) o# S1 l
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
0 O% F( s! B3 p! P- _% ^1 u0 cI don't understand why, when I needed You most, ' ^2 x5 o3 g1 ?( C$ F1 I
you leave me."
# }. [" j2 B# T8 }8 IHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
