One night I had a dream
2 D* F# h( v: H2 ~7 ~* n9 G/ g- xI was walking along the beach with my Lord., t$ R: w1 Z. }/ H( Z
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
! \- P% J+ _3 zFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,. A+ q# w/ a1 o3 M6 H0 x* Z( K- S
one belonging to me. q5 f$ v( k: t& E. ?1 p% H7 b
and the other to my Lord.
# Q' Q0 m! ]- j2 b6 B# e: |When the last scene of my life shot before me( E0 V+ ^6 s9 t2 u& d
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
9 {7 i: y' }( J# Q+ i5 xThere was only on set of footprints.$ {0 W4 `* ^, Z; b; n, |" e
I realized that this was at the lowest
3 D+ g3 k4 T6 l: e/ Y4 land saddest times in my life.* a7 B! i5 @9 I( p0 h9 I
This always bothered me
6 V5 ~( W9 Q* oand I questioned the Lord5 y/ g1 U1 k8 L
about my dilemma.
/ G, L1 k& L% f+ c"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
) r6 H# U( o, J; n4 BYou would walk and talk with me all the way.6 n4 Q: c( _5 C/ b) Q3 D7 _
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
0 K/ P* O6 U0 w8 Btimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
1 Z2 c! Q  X- H$ S/ F7 XI don't understand why, when I needed You most, " p, C; b: y. X1 h6 E+ W, S5 y. |
you leave me."# @' h6 Y3 K$ B0 D" K( n$ V
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,& n3 g" Y) L7 d5 a5 q  S/ m8 F
I love you and will never leave you" D6 ^. |' ]* l, s( R
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
