One night I had a dream
; |5 t# F* A7 a( Y0 ]$ q& yI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
; R. n  n8 x( v/ g4 r- j+ dAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
- W- i. S( |: A: n. G  \For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,* K7 x' A, o; s
one belonging to me
2 w1 ?2 s- W* p2 |2 gand the other to my Lord.
( S+ o# Y1 y3 n7 ~2 d/ B+ _When the last scene of my life shot before me
! q) `/ C0 F. o2 s6 c/ y% tI looked back at the footprints in the sand.2 ^4 R9 o( v& \) u% L. B) l
There was only on set of footprints.
. m7 ]' h1 p: _* Q. K5 D$ w3 dI realized that this was at the lowest / ^0 x1 o" C! c9 T
and saddest times in my life.- P* E* N) `5 ]8 }3 G
This always bothered me 2 X7 E0 H& r5 E9 n9 k
and I questioned the Lord
2 }# j# |- W4 ~% xabout my dilemma.! Z$ k- o* Y/ w2 M4 K) h' Z# N
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,2 i7 y( U; e& w" x
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
; g  \# v1 U) Y" g" H: `9 v% `But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
6 Y) l: |2 _! s$ Htimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
! Z7 v1 p. T( E; gI don't understand why, when I needed You most, 3 v( U' q6 ^1 S) Y2 O4 y* J
you leave me."
