7 q) Q8 |' X- A& b3 V& yOne night I had a dream
/ V8 w8 e( v% }6 r5 H) T5 C3 @. OI was walking along the beach with my Lord.. g0 k* }0 U( t! B) n
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
7 Z6 u3 I0 u8 ?For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,8 B1 x5 b; C# z  y1 r  m) X
one belonging to me+ U5 f9 x- @9 i  F% h
and the other to my Lord.
. J; c* ?9 D! t' }8 qWhen the last scene of my life shot before me; L6 F3 A0 F8 e! }
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
/ q4 u  }5 n( f6 n/ b$ n8 H& Y7 @There was only on set of footprints.1 \0 Z& V! b0 K" \5 H  C
I realized that this was at the lowest
+ T! u/ e! g" E) wand saddest times in my life.# m2 ]! X# R/ n  v0 T- t. l8 K% p
This always bothered me
+ J3 h; r9 [2 U( zand I questioned the Lord4 ~. r, _; d0 R; @' T1 Y
about my dilemma.
: [' `0 G0 K+ u: U: @( t1 {: U"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,- m2 A+ F2 H, Y) D
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
" V5 r  n- S( M$ l& o  NBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
$ R& H8 K% z) etimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.- U% z4 N2 k: \2 R2 E9 K+ r
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
" X2 Y3 d* B. |2 D% T* m/ iyou leave me."' q) R" m: u: B6 B7 ?* h
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,& N6 v- A/ y, v8 y5 K( ^
