Footprints in the Sand
5 k+ i8 B# U/ p3 O/ o. ]! e' K9 O. U: v, P7 s& J
One night I had a dream  U  u5 z+ o- T3 L5 A1 z
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
2 ]8 v1 D5 O: N) qAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.6 i, F! T: J6 M5 c4 j. \
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
# j8 c& R6 f7 Y: V' N' None belonging to me
" q& F) D: E: `* f& C% dand the other to my Lord.1 o; F* \7 D8 @0 l; r9 [
When the last scene of my life shot before me( |. F" v3 A4 Y) h
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
0 _9 E( g3 F3 u- S  b+ LThere was only on set of footprints.
9 a/ r7 [+ Z- u$ bI realized that this was at the lowest 9 o1 U4 g2 l& U
and saddest times in my life.
. f5 L* c% d( B6 A8 C! AThis always bothered me 6 o( }$ q8 N) E* o6 L$ q
and I questioned the Lord
" F; F) g8 ?9 |2 c0 F4 `5 rabout my dilemma.; x7 O. F& G0 D  X% S
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
) ]8 r+ L, F: U! jYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
% L) b& q7 R* Z8 ^But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
0 [8 |: {: a$ J1 Y* L; ~' ~times of my life there is only one set of footprints.: D7 c' F8 N9 m! p6 ?; B
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, # x% `% k8 T4 T9 ~
you leave me."
+ W  w! x5 t! q* d4 MHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,* u0 d" h; B' U% g( c" y) p1 s
I love you and will never leave you
- f/ x; L8 k. n$ p) u0 bnever, ever during your times of trial and testings.
