One night I had a dream1 T9 W5 |9 a9 r' B; ?$ R! Y
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.2 l: p+ }9 M4 Z2 W  d
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
8 X$ U& R" X* X! KFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
$ ], m+ W9 H; ?* m- w0 b/ ?one belonging to me6 _* j1 c8 G6 R
and the other to my Lord.6 c" e- p) B. _
When the last scene of my life shot before me
) ~0 _/ T8 U+ K* u1 I- k% oI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
5 V0 z; l: {6 X' ?( K& ?9 DThere was only on set of footprints.
$ q2 ~' o' s. Y0 l/ s5 a" x' MI realized that this was at the lowest
: q" I  T8 U6 p, X# T: aand saddest times in my life.. ?( |& z% b+ r; }
This always bothered me 4 ~; L. o0 T9 E- i4 y; k
and I questioned the Lord
: B5 k+ R' B9 ^& U. ]: oabout my dilemma.* T7 n! B& U' O- Z3 v" W
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
* G. S# e5 S( A8 ?7 HYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
" h0 K9 n! y7 q$ D1 ]But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
) p1 z) a5 ^# gtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
/ p: z/ o- L1 T% l4 II don't understand why, when I needed You most, ( R9 Z7 `! E& _- t1 R
you leave me."
