Footprints in the Sand' [2 n+ m$ \( J" T7 Q' T; v

+ t7 A/ W7 x  t. n9 xOne night I had a dream
# d/ l. K9 }+ n# ?I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
* y9 G  i! p3 b6 X( H/ tAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.1 G5 j$ |, c+ [3 q' I' N  E
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
' {/ a' j. ^9 R  Done belonging to me8 D, P2 g# Y) t9 x
and the other to my Lord.
/ b+ u6 f( y$ [7 f* [  _When the last scene of my life shot before me! N# H  ?7 a! d, f. |5 v9 h
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.9 j$ z9 z8 E  K1 R! Y+ m! l/ @7 A' {1 s
There was only on set of footprints.
1 x. U; ^" Y, z. p' V5 }I realized that this was at the lowest , E7 d! s# V: k5 l
and saddest times in my life.
" u* N# I! c, ^! e+ ~, f2 XThis always bothered me + G4 R; A- m& ]# ~9 L
and I questioned the Lord
1 ?) ?6 z' ^9 G& }# i6 ?& n# sabout my dilemma.; p& G% q6 M3 K0 y. G; k
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,& H" ], o% z8 D8 t" h
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
# ~% ]( `% u( ~5 X1 z/ uBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
' ]3 r" q" x% k) _. h! X; Ptimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.5 y3 A8 E- E4 Q9 u
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, % E4 |9 B9 P- v. l. C. f! X1 V
you leave me.": y2 L+ B) r$ r$ X  d  E
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,* x# L, W) d) D8 k: s% ?/ o/ W
I love you and will never leave you. A" Z( L' ?) p& R4 C: z$ Z7 L+ Y
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
