Footprints in the Sand  `+ E/ c; D9 ?( {

8 d2 E8 G, X6 G2 Y/ V3 ?' l$ x. @: |One night I had a dream
% L# b% O# j; |/ rI was walking along the beach with my Lord.- `0 L0 o% q) ^% n8 B
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
* V- W6 ]; m7 L- JFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,$ a7 c: c5 p/ b6 {( V
one belonging to me1 S% ~# y& ^0 q1 p
and the other to my Lord.+ I7 _) t4 q) z  f2 O2 r, h4 s
When the last scene of my life shot before me
6 ~  j; N, q+ `+ m$ mI looked back at the footprints in the sand.: }/ B% L) G2 E1 K
There was only on set of footprints.1 ]6 d2 T3 c0 N) G
I realized that this was at the lowest + s8 L: O3 Y) k# {! P
and saddest times in my life.
6 ~; C2 y  |0 r9 E/ {4 W$ oThis always bothered me
5 X# E; [3 _3 ~3 J" Jand I questioned the Lord8 I2 A, `, I5 k. S0 {: C2 p7 t$ v
about my dilemma.
9 g3 U& s5 D1 E. D4 z$ H' s& b"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
4 r+ S7 O- k+ q& }3 C; lYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
0 v2 p+ @4 |- w: ABut I'm aware that during the most troublesome 7 p; X, F. O% _7 c! B) H
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.3 z* A6 o* {* G5 n
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, " M( Y, ~: S) h+ {
you leave me."
  F% K4 g+ ]" SHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
: ], U2 Q- _* ^# Q9 w1 g3 II love you and will never leave you4 ?, r; T; V  g6 i. }2 x! N
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
