Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream
( J; C0 r: p8 D( l# M3 RI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
4 D/ ^' m, h5 _* X( n% {" YAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.7 y8 b) V- G$ ~! `3 F5 D& T6 o. ?3 x- X
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,8 |5 A% Z: L1 z5 S; R
one belonging to me
3 \, P& W' B4 d. i6 N# Hand the other to my Lord.
# c/ O4 J# b+ K$ LWhen the last scene of my life shot before me) v# s. m# R. ~5 E; ]
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
: t6 A/ }- \  t; N. k2 vThere was only on set of footprints.' O  o5 H/ G4 A$ Z
I realized that this was at the lowest # q6 k# t2 s1 y9 p# M* z6 G* D+ O
and saddest times in my life.
5 X. f+ l* E( ]This always bothered me ; W# |/ o6 F; Y$ M
and I questioned the Lord0 r( I$ l7 e8 L! m9 i% ?
about my dilemma.
, q. l) i3 A7 }/ a2 c"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,8 _! G- d6 H/ A' h3 a& s1 g
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
8 l! o: N, s) X( L! D, R4 UBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome 8 J3 x6 n) s: f
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.7 H0 a* T0 Q: a7 z. y/ H5 `& f
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, 9 i% Y9 v9 M( V' A- k
you leave me."
