Footprints in the Sand

/ z( V! B2 E4 H/ eOne night I had a dream+ H+ d) n' S1 l$ N/ e. |* j. n
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
0 `- B$ B/ O$ n$ ~  EAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
# c! V9 W* J" t' Q& WFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,+ U: ?; c0 z% X8 f% d
one belonging to me
2 B% A/ d8 b( b4 q$ N: fand the other to my Lord.
" L& \" X- x1 V$ j' GWhen the last scene of my life shot before me9 }% J' A! E5 F) N. s, }
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.0 @; G) i* D- j- ^' i6 I
There was only on set of footprints.
  f- p' R- w5 S$ EI realized that this was at the lowest 6 T6 c: E; }7 G; P
and saddest times in my life.* r6 G6 r0 t0 ]3 F
This always bothered me ' f$ n6 A6 i) E& L* {+ Y
and I questioned the Lord: I. A7 M+ J; b) v7 r' [  I5 S
about my dilemma.: _7 A' o: g' O# a
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,5 [+ _) Z: `1 C1 Q1 V
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
$ A, O1 o+ `! I2 ?" B5 IBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
3 Z4 X3 A+ k# i$ R9 Gtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
, y. {) g8 x2 {$ I7 bI don't understand why, when I needed You most, ( G) V9 l0 L) o2 h* n1 a6 \0 x
you leave me."' I- F$ Q6 H# I0 H- f. d  P; M* J
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,/ J/ H% L6 L8 G! o
I love you and will never leave you) Q, P& C* p$ z! g7 u! p
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.

It was then that I carried you."
