Footprints in the Sand' ]+ M2 v9 L/ O: j$ a! m; [: E

! n! g9 ]+ M) i$ E" \$ E: }One night I had a dream9 ]6 m- C' y1 @% w/ ]
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
* E# O) D& c  c0 iAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.. {- v$ B2 q# k7 u7 [7 I
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
8 k1 I3 `) v/ x8 wone belonging to me; j% d+ [& S3 V/ k8 C/ K
and the other to my Lord.
- ~/ s  J( K. U; A' ]1 o1 XWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
" X$ V1 w8 z% g; b0 I: e9 p* x; zI looked back at the footprints in the sand.  ]! q: l' v; f% Y* R
There was only on set of footprints.3 X1 B# ?' Y- Z7 {! U% L
I realized that this was at the lowest 8 O4 B0 F8 y+ S% B  S& {% i
and saddest times in my life.
; o5 s/ e: B4 E0 W( w$ y- K& iThis always bothered me
& u9 B9 J. {, N0 ]0 A6 Z0 G7 F- ^4 @and I questioned the Lord% U2 |* ~+ P+ [; z7 A
about my dilemma.
2 k! x; z! k7 M9 C  d/ I"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
  O, Q* w7 J' X* @& \/ r" Q/ ^You would walk and talk with me all the way.$ g6 `# i/ ~  B; V& p- I
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome " L9 ~) |3 E6 z" F* X
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.1 q. _0 s( D0 G. l
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, 1 i2 h4 c0 o! y" C4 R- u) i
you leave me."
) H; S, [7 d& J4 p+ Z# X& B' zHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,

When you saw only one set of footprints
