Katusha is a common yet beautiful name for Russian girls. In WWII Russian people fought against the fascist Germany invasion and they invented the very powerful rocket artillery named Katusha. I learned the song in my elementary school and still can sing it in Russian though so many years have passed.

I played this song about 30 years ago with my old accordion, when I was a university student. The video really brought me back to the happy moment in the university. 7 Q2 u% D5 N8 q( J5 H/ ~

I found Victoria Accordion Club (VAC) in 2009 through the Internet and joined the club 2010. I had a lot of fun practicing with the band. The VAC actually started in 2003. Had I known that, I could have joined it then.
% ^6 s- A/ S! d  j6 X6 ^$ I, @0 c* W3 _/ J1 Q
Although most of the members are older than me, the club culture is simple and pure for music. I enjoyed the two practices every month, especially the "Jam Session" on every first Sunday afternoon each month. Please check out our website to see if you are interested. + Y+ v9 \5 {* j6 F8 h

I'm very glad that you went to the event.  Excellent picture you took!  Am I allowed to forward the picture to the kids band's teacher?

- E; \8 E3 G# y0 h2 m0 k3 M9 Y- UJianan is one of the top accordionists in the world in her age group. She have won many 1st places in top international accordion competitions since she was 12. Her accordion skill is amazing!
