I was walking along the beach with my Lord.* `. ^/ ^0 U- @5 }# G$ A/ T
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life./ ?, c  Q7 d7 j9 O  y* G
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,/ j3 N6 [  p6 B) n+ ?! B
one belonging to me, |$ o0 g* I: ^% Z
and the other to my Lord.. C$ C* [9 C& M- |" t* E
When the last scene of my life shot before me' P( ?* L+ s; L7 j4 m& |+ F1 c
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.+ p$ F7 N. |6 _# Y! T$ k
There was only on set of footprints.% W3 j, _8 G. H
I realized that this was at the lowest
$ L7 f! P% b, J  Qand saddest times in my life.
4 a9 X( O4 r2 |% K" XThis always bothered me
5 r' Y" c% x7 S. [* `' o/ y) x3 Kand I questioned the Lord+ U0 _  }( E7 i% u  S/ U* h
about my dilemma.
9 s$ O# u& |- O- j6 p' P- X8 ^"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
3 q/ @, M# z3 ]( f% WYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
+ O: A4 ~' m2 A7 `( i, B0 ~But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 9 `" G, x+ P2 L3 k
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.) h: {# v# p% ~/ |% A* F* K
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, % h% C. ^( v0 \& i
