' O: v# i1 q; F( b% K3 f2 ]I was walking along the beach with my Lord.1 Y6 p: U3 W, Y2 y8 U) J
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.# S1 ]- X% W! P; Z1 z2 {
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,! t+ \' K" J5 b2 _& {
one belonging to me
" w5 Y, q) L* i5 }, ~; Aand the other to my Lord.
0 t1 _) T) E# i6 w6 s9 ZWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
" R# d8 T' B" c9 t! OI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
3 @) u7 u0 g) x" vThere was only on set of footprints.* G6 i& ?$ J5 v8 h% n
I realized that this was at the lowest & ^5 X# V* T; M  U# |" I
and saddest times in my life.1 j: j' u6 d; U6 ~# Q) }
This always bothered me
; ?/ y4 G, d$ N. R& }and I questioned the Lord. w, a, o- B. C( c2 w
about my dilemma./ b- Z: g! ^, M3 G9 ?, m6 `3 a5 @
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
" W+ Y; t$ d/ Q' jYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
; g$ K: `5 ^' p* c! c; @But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
! ]; H  W* M2 k; ttimes of my life there is only one set of footprints." j5 S) w" b. E8 T
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, / s/ U# j; E/ @; V  c0 V
you leave me.". v, e, e1 s+ f# f9 R
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,

When you saw only one set of footprints
