Footprints in the Sand9 \- d- q) `+ Z5 ^! q

One night I had a dream* @$ O4 z3 ?+ k% A3 P
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.3 u$ a4 e& X" q
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.3 N# E  A( L1 j: W% ~( S
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
4 h" w2 |# `- _4 Uone belonging to me3 s0 N( }$ C$ D6 u0 C
and the other to my Lord.
8 ~% B. K- j2 S5 FWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
) V5 S! G! F$ }6 zI looked back at the footprints in the sand.% |: i* F+ x0 @! W2 |; D2 w% C
There was only on set of footprints.
' Q( Z- e  A- _$ m( ZI realized that this was at the lowest
& g2 j4 ~; e& A' M# Kand saddest times in my life.
3 ]/ r2 Y) h9 m8 nThis always bothered me 5 W9 T& ?' @# ]5 F; v7 D. f# u% W4 }
and I questioned the Lord
2 d7 E: O& Q0 d) N& Y6 @about my dilemma./ q- L1 e; u8 O) ], C
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,2 z; h- t# x/ w( j5 |9 o6 P3 P: ?
You would walk and talk with me all the way.& T9 h* Z8 C4 J& z5 g
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
* t# o1 d9 D0 c; _. s7 [# _) l' jtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
& j0 d" W% o  l6 e; N& ^8 v8 oI don't understand why, when I needed You most, ! P- x4 E1 A: v7 w
you leave me."
4 u6 }2 C: m% mHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
