Footprints in the Sand& z( K! c! S* z4 }

One night I had a dream; m# O+ Y5 u3 `. {! i, z
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
' g8 z- a& Y- a$ b, I! QAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
1 W. R. z3 r1 a/ U. R- }For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
% Q2 N, Z0 j- y" S9 u3 _& P* \) ^+ Kone belonging to me& i' r9 t0 T) d4 b
and the other to my Lord.) x! z. R" w3 t6 s
When the last scene of my life shot before me
, n3 V+ V, z- _& GI looked back at the footprints in the sand.# H  [0 i# O( x& Q$ }! E
There was only on set of footprints.( ?) I8 c* h- J
I realized that this was at the lowest
% t: e4 m6 o$ k$ fand saddest times in my life.) C6 r0 N2 C3 _
This always bothered me - b0 k  z( p$ H
and I questioned the Lord
! A# c+ K+ Q+ l7 s6 aabout my dilemma.4 C0 R- O$ f, G6 d
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,8 V1 }7 M/ d) b8 g
You would walk and talk with me all the way.# K# ?) K+ \  i
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
8 a1 h; m1 x, {+ v' itimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
; T- l5 ~% P- L& C* E4 w' i2 KI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
) t. E% R  b" x; b- I' xyou leave me."
