Footprints in the Sand

# d. T6 K! F7 I4 x3 LOne night I had a dream
9 f: |$ ^5 ?3 yI was walking along the beach with my Lord.4 W9 L. u; \  R
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.3 ~5 j  _2 E/ V4 t+ N
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
9 Q5 E. U6 G7 \8 Z' zone belonging to me9 G. O7 x( n. T8 _' _& y
and the other to my Lord.# t' h: b' ~# U* a& L  b
When the last scene of my life shot before me
$ ^. K8 ?0 ^, l/ K% [+ W- f# N- OI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
! o* Q; H' P* S* l( zThere was only on set of footprints./ P: J6 [3 }7 @4 H6 {! z0 E
I realized that this was at the lowest
. P" h' I0 w2 d( t( `7 f" E6 Land saddest times in my life./ R. C$ |- @& z( i8 v
This always bothered me
8 y3 V8 @! ~; O  dand I questioned the Lord6 p2 s" k1 e3 S9 \( k; Z5 d
about my dilemma.* z* n" Z2 I/ C- {/ c9 S9 ?* r
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
6 [6 t; p6 ~7 ~6 }; ^You would walk and talk with me all the way.
( M$ }( {# d4 c; W" ~# yBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome ) ]# ?% V( k5 Y( r
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.( Y& z4 C5 f) s* O/ P( b" u5 k/ ~
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
$ p8 I( x% R" X( I# Ayou leave me."
+ U" K1 ^& g+ O: d; B; o( n5 WHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
* m3 t: J) c% Q" W4 d! fI love you and will never leave you9 s, p; f6 G7 ~" ?' ?; X
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.

It was then that I carried you."
