Lord,
4 u v- C: W5 phaving transformed% w/ m- [5 B' E
sunshine and soil and water and seed,* q1 r6 M) d1 E& M
into food upon which we are soon to feed, # l; C# t! J! A# N
we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
; n: _( ~, ~/ W7 \9 T( rso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.; w8 t" `) V1 A$ I* M6 C
We who came first and are ready to dine3 q1 T0 N0 N' W7 O3 g& |
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
$ M7 B8 \" Q; n# l' Bbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, 7 ^* ?. T0 o! u, v3 G
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
# Q5 S( c3 t4 [& D6 }- E' s. f9 f# kInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others # F" N% ?4 S& i Y0 C! R
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.2 |+ ]% I5 u( P$ ~# c4 F; w

the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted ) t0 {. U6 j& ^8 t) v# r7 w9 ]+ N$ p
