Footprints in the Sand

  `/ x1 ]5 s& x9 ]) `7 UOne night I had a dream& u& ^( j+ ]" A& P0 t) D
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.9 J+ X% u6 z: r1 I6 J2 E
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
6 D: z; `2 ]7 TFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,, c: M# t* K* C3 G( }% T
one belonging to me
; ?( I% |' b. H0 O' L. }( zand the other to my Lord.+ j9 E  E5 Y4 u
When the last scene of my life shot before me
" y# z: _5 x2 O  @( vI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
4 C% R1 J6 U! Y& }9 yThere was only on set of footprints.
1 d  m1 y) m# L8 TI realized that this was at the lowest 4 e8 X% q: R$ E! G' c
and saddest times in my life.
" o. }; c& {# P4 GThis always bothered me
* m: I  g$ I+ d$ S) l, aand I questioned the Lord( w! T2 ]) ?$ A+ V6 `
about my dilemma.
7 c) L. e# s( @: F+ T"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
# b  ]5 U* N( g6 aYou would walk and talk with me all the way.- B# Y+ K' h" m# V3 |" j
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 2 e9 ~- \% w8 a# m
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
2 n* [& h2 a$ d5 A: lI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
9 C; q+ s$ t( G, syou leave me."
- o% j; r2 c1 a& OHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,% S! E0 N! J) \" X# C
